Drag a bird around an arena of green pillars and drop bombs on the bats. Your score is how long you survive, to a tenth of a second. Flappy VS Bats first came out in 2017. Version 2.0 rebuilt it from scratch, and 2.1 added support for iPhone Duo. HOW IT PLAYS • Drag anywhere on the arena to fly. The bird follows your finger's movement, so your finger never covers it. • The pillars are walls for you and for the bats. • Fly off one edge and you come back on the opposite edge. Each crossing costs 5 coins. With fewer than 5 coins the edges are walls and the dashed border turns solid red. Bats cross for free. • Tap the bomb button, or double-tap the arena, to drop a bomb. A bomb costs 5 coins and goes off after 1 second, with a countdown on the bomb. Its flames run up to 3 cells along the corridors, stop at pillars and kill the bats they touch. They can kill you too. • You can have up to 2 bombs on the arena at once. • Pick up coins, and shields that absorb one hit from a bat or a flame. FOUR KINDS OF BAT • Hunters follow the corridors toward you. • Wanderers pick their own way. • Blockers hang in one spot and block that corridor for a while. • Sweepers fly straight across after a warning arrow. Touching a bat ends the run unless you have a shield. Bats bump into each other without harm. The longer you last, the more bats come and the faster they fly. COINS New players start with 50 coins. You earn 1 coin for every 2 seconds you survive, 1 for each bat a bomb kills and 1 for each coin you pick up. Coins pay for bombs, edge crossings and birds. Your coin total is on screen during the game. BIRDS Cardinal and Blue Jay cost 150 coins, Parrot and Flamingo 250, Crow and Snowy 400. The Legends Pack adds Golden, Phoenix, Ghost and Robo, each with a trail. You can also watch an ad to fly a Legend for one run. Birds are cosmetic. GAME CENTER • Leaderboards for your longest run, your longest run this week (reset every Monday) and the most bats in one run • 9 achievements MORE • Share a score card from the game over screen • A daily gift of 25 coins • Left-handed bomb button, drag sensitivity, sound and haptics • iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo with iOS 17 or later, landscape only • On iPhone Duo the game runs full screen on both displays and pauses if you open or close the phone during a run • Plays offline and needs no account ADS AND PURCHASES The game is free. An ad is shown at the end of each game (when the bird dies, or when you restart or quit from the pause menu), never during play. There are no banners. You can choose to watch an ad to double the coins from a run, to get 75 coins instead of 25 from the daily gift, or to fly a Legend for one run. • Remove Ads (one-time purchase): no ads after games. The ads you choose to watch stay available. • Legends Pack: the four Legend birds. • Coin packs of 500, 1,500 and 4,000 coins. Bought coins go into the same wallet as the coins you earn. If you played the 2017 version: your coins and Remove Ads carry over, each unused life becomes 25 coins, and your old best time is shown in Settings.
