KEY FEATURES • K-Drama Clips — Watch hand-picked K-drama scenes and catch each word as it's spoken: it lights up on screen at the exact moment you hear it. Tap a word for its meaning, filter by level, and save the words to a deck or quiz yourself on them. Clips play in YouTube's own player, and watching is always free. • Read Hangul From Zero — A guided beginner course takes you from your very first letter to reading real K-drama words in about an hour. Native audio for every letter, syllable-block practice, no romanization crutch. Finish to earn a badge and a ready-made review deck. • Write Hangul — Watch each letter write itself, then trace it with your finger, stroke by stroke. Stroke order and direction are checked; a shaky hand isn't. Hints instead of fail screens. Practice all 40 letters and earn the Hangul Writer badge. • 4 Starter Packs — Top 75 K-Drama Phrases, 69 Travel Korean, 52 Daily Conversation, 50 K-Drama Food & Dining. Tap Browse, hit add, start studying. • Built-in Korean Dictionary — Browse 54,800+ words by TOPIK level, sourced directly from 국립국어원 (KRDict), the National Institute of Korean Language. Search, browse by topic, add to a deck with one tap. • Built-in English Dictionary — 9,700+ learner definitions for A1–C2 words, written for clarity by Sean & Owen, our AI lexicographers. • Spaced Repetition — Smart scheduling powered by the SM-2 algorithm. Flipside shows you the right cards at the right time, so you remember more with less effort. • Quiz Mode — Flip-and-grade study sessions with state filters. Quiz any TOPIK level or dictionary topic on the fly, no deck required. Tinder-style swipe gestures. • Pair Up — Tap a Korean word, tap its meaning, and watch the pair clear off the board. Every match plays the word out loud, so each pair doubles as a pronunciation rep. No timers, no fail states, no streak to protect. • Audio Pronunciation — Native Korean audio for every dictionary word. Two natural English voices (Claire and Oliver) for the English dictionary — pick your favorite in Settings. • Beautiful Badges — Earn milestones for studying, mastering decks, exploring the dictionary, and more. Share milestone cards to your stories. • Photo Cards — Snap a photo of a textbook page, sign, or scene. Crop to the word. Memory anchors that make words stick. • Offline First — Your cards are always available, even without internet. Changes sync automatically when you're back online. • Beautiful Design — Calm, minimal interface with light and dark themes. No clutter, no distractions. NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS, NO NAGS Flipside believes in ethical, transparent pricing. We don't run ads. We don't sell your data. We don't trickle features behind subscription paywalls.
