Sync is the best way to transfer files between your Mac, PC, NAS, and even server. Create your own private cloud. Connect devices and sync files securely without sending them on third-party servers. We don’t limit your speed or storage space: our technology works especially well with huge files. No storage limits • Sync as much data as you have on your hard drives. Automatic camera backup • Sync will back up photos and videos as soon as you take them. • You can then delete photos from your phone and save space. Direct transfers, no cloud • Your information is never stored on servers in the cloud, so nobody can access it without your permission. • Transfer files directly and fast using peer-to-peer technology (p2p). Any device and platform • Access folders and upload files to your tablet, PC, Mac, NAS, and even server. Supports all file types • Add photos, videos, music, docs, and PDFs from other apps to any of your synced folders. Save space • Selective Sync lets you save only the files you need. To get the best performance and to avoid running up your data charges while syncing folders, we recommend leaving the "Use Cellular Data" setting off. Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Resilio Sync at 4.5 against EteSync Notes's 3.0. Resilio Sync also leads on ratings volume (844 vs 2). EteSync Notes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Resilio Sync holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Resilio Sync has 844 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of Resilio Sync's written reviews are positive against 100% of EteSync Notes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Resilio Sync ships an update every 3 months, EteSync Notes weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
