DZ Ballistics vs QFE App

DZ Ballistics is designed to give airdrop aircrews accurate ballistic wind and drop information for HALO and HAHO airdrops using data from AFI 11-231. Calculating an average wind is not as simple as it seems. A vector computation is required. The entered or downloaded wind data can be used for pre-flight planning and briefings, as well as inflight updates to enhance aircrew situational awareness. A picture is worth a thousand words and the Wind Circle Graphic gives you an instant visualization of the entered winds. DZ Ballistics makes wind calculations a breeze. All reasonable efforts are made to ensure accuracy of the information. As always, the respective Air Force Instruction is the governing directive.
