Once a rate is established, you can predict your wait time or predict how many people or items will get through the queue by a given time. Limitations: Obviously, the estimations made by the app (and subsequent alerts) may not reflect what you actually observe, for a variety of reasons. Queues may speed up or slow down as new registers open or close, for example. These are just estimates and hold no special sway over future events. Queue carefully.
