About

Fumi Reader

Features

Get to the articles you want to read, with less waiting. Fumi Reader is a free RSS reader designed from the ground up for a lightweight, responsive reading experience. It shows articles cached on your device for display first, then refreshes your feeds. YOUR SITES, YOUR READING LIST Follow RSS, Atom and JSON Feed sources. Add a feed URL, discover feeds from a website, or import an OPML file. Organize subscriptions into categories, rename feeds and arrange them in your preferred order. READ YOUR WAY Choose a text-only list or Magazine view with images. Adjust text size, sorting, whether read articles appear, and how articles open, either for all feeds or for individual feeds. Open articles in the feed article view, the in-app browser or an external browser. KEEP TRACK OF YOUR READING Browse unread and read articles, save items for later, and revisit your viewing history. Search cached articles and move between neighboring feeds. ON IPHONE, IPAD AND MAC iPad and Mac offer a three-column layout for feeds, the article list and the selected article. Keyboard shortcuts are also available on Mac. SYNC IS YOUR CHOICE Optional iCloud sync keeps subscriptions, categories, settings, read status, viewing history and saved items in sync across devices using the same Apple Account. You can also use Fumi Reader without sync. No separate Fumi Reader account is required. BACK UP WHAT MATTERS Choose which subscription information, settings and reading states to include in a backup, then restore them when needed. Choose display-cache retention globally or per feed: 30, 90 or 180 days, one year, or unlimited. Read Later items are excluded from automatic cleanup. Safety limits still apply to unlimited retention; image and network caches are managed separately. ON-DEVICE TRANSLATION Enable experimental translation in Settings to automatically translate English article lists, RSS articles and in-app web pages into your chosen language. Lists translate visible items as you scroll. Use the same translation button to return to the original. Supported devices and languages are required, and language data may need to be downloaded first. Optional iCloud sync also includes translation enablement, target language, and global/per-feed automatic translation settings. Translation results and language data stay on each device. OPTIONAL PER-FEED CONNECTIONS (EXPERIMENTAL) Use your own NordVPN subscription to configure SOCKS5 connections for selected feeds or categories. Optional device-only credential storage and an explicitly initiated country check are available. This is not a system-wide VPN and does not guarantee anonymity, regional access or routing of all traffic. SOCKS5 authentication itself is not encrypted; use only on a trusted network. PLEASE NOTE - Adding feeds requires an HTTPS-compatible URL. - The amount of article text and availability of images depend on each publisher's feed. - Article information already cached on your device is available offline. Content and images not yet downloaded, and publishers' web pages, require an internet connection. - iCloud sync requires signing in to iCloud on your device. Article bodies, images and website cookies are not synced. Support: support@iam-jonny.com
