Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Short Circuits at none against Puzzlo's shown. Short Circuits also leads on ratings volume (54 vs 5) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.1). Puzzlo's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 15 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Short Circuits sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Puzzlo sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Puzzlo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Short Circuits has 54 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
Short Circuits ships an update every 15 months, Puzzlo weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
