We have developed an application that when used with the TCI reader will download information from a semi-truck. I have been in the trucking industry for over 30 years and know how difficult it is to get accurate mileage and how time consuming it is to appraise a group of semi-trucks. The app downloads information in less than 10 seconds to your phone. This is designed to make purchasing, inspecting, or appraising a semi tractor more reliable, as well as checking a fleet of trucks. It gives accurate mileage and gives fault codes. As a bonus, it will also read the vehicle identification number, the year, gallons of fuel used, the hours and idle hours on the engine, it will also send one picture of the truck. Version 2.0 adds the ability to display emissions information (when available) for newer trucks. After the information is downloaded on your mobile device, it can be emailed to yourself or a customer before moving on to the next truck. Unfortunately, with some units, the wires in an ECM gets crossed or corroded and it may not pick up all the information, but will always get the mileage, hours, and gallons of fuel used. I have designed this to be fast and simple for buyers and sellers of semi-trucks.
