Classic German Whist — play offline vs a computer opponent. No internet required. No sign-up. Just a focused two-player trick-taking card game that rewards planning, timing and card sense. German Whist, also known as Hamburg Whist, is based on classic Whist but designed for two players. Each round has a distinctive two-phase structure: first you build your hand by playing tricks and drawing from the deck, then you play out the final hands in a tense endgame. Why you’ll enjoy Classic German Whist: • Offline play — no account required • A true two-player Whist experience • Easy or Hard computer opponent • Classic German Whist with a full 52-card deck • Small Whist option using a quicker 28-card deck • Choose Last 13 or Every Trick scoring • Set the win target to 10, 25 or 50 • Track your stats over time • Review previous tricks • Replay hands from any round • Claim winning tricks faster • AutoPlay options for smoother play • Customize card faces, themes and suit colors How the game works: German Whist is played in two phases. In the first phase, each trick decides who wins the face-up card from the deck. In the second phase, both players use their final hands to win as many tricks as possible. Players must follow suit if they can. If they cannot follow suit, they may play any card, including a trump card. Scoring depends on your chosen mode. In Last 13 scoring, only the endgame tricks count. In Every Trick scoring, the whole round matters. Whether you know German Whist already or want a compact two-player card game to learn, Classic German Whist gives you a clean offline version you can play at your own pace.
Collapsi

Collapsi is an abstract strategy maze game for two (or more?) players. As players move around the grid, the card they move from collapses, causing the grid to slowly close in on itself. Use portals and cave-ins to your advantage. Trap your opponent and be the last player able to make a legal move to win the game. Collapsi was designed and created by Mark Ball. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Collapsi at none against Classic German Whist's 1. Collapsi also leads on ads (none vs shown). Classic German Whist's advantage is update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months) and device support (3 vs 1). On price there is nothing between them.
