Kindred is a couples app built around one check-in a week. What you agree on in a check-in comes back at the next one, so the conversation turns into something you act on. A check-in takes about twenty minutes and begins when you're both in Kindred at the same moment, in the same room or not. You each answer the same questions on your own phone, questions like what your partner did this week that you appreciated. When you've both finished, your answers open side by side and you talk them through. What you agree on stays with you during the week as your commitments: a task to do once, like booking the weekend trip, or a habit to keep at, like phones away during dinner. At the next check-in the two of you go through them. There are no scores in Kindred and no streaks. It gives no advice, and no AI analyses what you write. What you make of each other's answers is for the two of you. For now, you both need an iPhone. After downloading, there's a demo you can try without an account. One subscription covers you both, monthly or yearly, and the yearly plan begins with two weeks free. There are no ads, and your past check-ins stay readable if you ever stop paying.
