Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: Learnaroo at freemium against Math Learner's subscription. Learnaroo also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Math Learner's advantage is ratings volume (121K vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 15.1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Learner sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days and Learnaroo sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Learnaroo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Learner has 121K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Math Learner ships an update every 2 weeks, Learnaroo every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
