Both are free to download. Cool Type Keyboard sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Paste asks for nothing beyond the download.
Cool Type Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42 and 9 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Cool Type Keyboard's written reviews are positive against 100% of Paste's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Cool Type Keyboard ships an update every 7 months, Paste every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
