Squeebles Flip Multiplication vs Fun Number Bonds

The Squeebles are back, helping you learn your times tables in a unique new way, in Flip Multiplication, an app designed and developed in conjunction with UK head teacher Ian Wilson and St. Margaret's Lee Primary School in London. Discover how to simplify the process of learning times tables by encouraging children to "flip" the question if they aren't sure of the answer straight away. They may know that 7 x 5 equals 35, but when faced with 5 x 7, they struggle. By understanding that those two questions are asking the same thing, children can move forward quickly with not only learning their times tables, but also understanding how multiplication works, cutting the number of tables they have to "learn" almost in half. This app can be used as a standalone method for learning tables or in conjunction with the more traditional method of learning the tables in their "sets". The tables are split into six, manageable, colour-coded levels, each one progressively slightly more challenging than the last. To pass a level, your child must not only answer all the included tables correctly in practice, but also prove they know them in a timed test. Questions from previous levels are also included in tests so that they aren't forgotten as progress is made through the app. A tables grid that shows the levels and each child's progress through them is available for reference and a "Flip" button for each question gives children the chance to see how flipping a table works. If they don't know the answer straight away, they can flip the question and see if that helps them. A great reward system and fun mini-game keeps children motivated, with 35 completely new Squeebles characters to collect as they work their way through the app. The mini game provides a welcome "brain break" but can only be used if enough work has been done in the educational part of the app. Parents and teachers can customise the app so the pass mark and required time for each level is set on an individual per-child basis and full reporting of progress is available for each child. An unlimited number of children can be registered with the app. As with all our apps, there are no in-app purchases, no adverts and no links to the internet of any kind. Fun Number Bonds allows young learners to focus on one of the essential basics of mathematics while fun animated characters keep them engaged. Designed for children entering education to build familiarity with number bonds of 5, 10 and 20. This app has a simple interface and fun colourful visuals. Sometimes called 'addition facts', number bonds are simple addition sums which children should be able to recognise and complete on sight without having to 'work it out'. Once a child knows the number bonds of 5, 10 and 20 they have a great foundation on which to develop further mathematical skills. Fun Number Bonds is great for kids as it does not contain any advertisements or in-app purchases. This app does not collect or store any information about the user or store data of any kind online.
