Write Swift code directly on your iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch! This app supports the latest Swift syntax and it is ideal for learning and testing code snippets! Swift is a general-purpose, multi-paradigm, compiled programming language developed by Apple Inc. for iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS, Linux, and z/OS. Swift is designed to work with Apple's Cocoa and Cocoa Touch frameworks and the large body of existing Objective-C code written for Apple products. It is built with the open source LLVM compiler framework. Features: - Compile and run your program - View program output or detailed error - Custom keyboard for easy input of frequently used characters - Optimized for connecting with external physical/bluetooth keyboard - Advanced source code editor with syntax highlighting, bracket completion and line numbers - Open, save, import and share Swift files. Supports File Sharing with iTunes Connect, AIrDrop and iCloud. - Language reference Limitations: - Internet connection is required for compilation - Maximum program running time is 20s - One file can be run at a time - Some file system, network and graphics functions may be limited - This is a batch compiler; interactive programs are not supported. For example, if your program provides an input prompt, enter the input in the Input tab prior to compilation.

Learn to program in swift from the grounds up. No prior programming experience is assumed; it starts from basics and builds slowly up. Swift is easy to learn, even for absolute beginners who have no prior programming or computer science knowledge. I learned Swift as my first ever programming language two years ago, and have made half a dozen apps using it, and I believe you can do the same. Join me in the journey to learn swift together as a community. I will be adding more content regularly, so stay tuned. Swift is the official language promoted by Apple, and is used for building iOS and macOS apps. There are other language options too, like hybrid programming languages Unity, Ionic and React Native, but Swift remains the most powerful native app that performs best with Apple hardware. Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Codify at none against Sedona's 1. Codify also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). Sedona's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 50%) and ratings volume (36 vs 3). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.9 for Sedona against 4.0 for Codify. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Sedona's written reviews are positive against 50% of Codify's.
Sedona ships an update monthly, Codify weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
