Verdict
The clearest difference is ads: Desperate Situation Elite at none against Real Pool 3D's shown. Desperate Situation Elite also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 12.0). Real Pool 3D's advantage is ratings volume (68K vs 16) and rating (4.6 vs 4.4). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Real Pool 3D sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Desperate Situation Elite sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Real Pool 3D holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Real Pool 3D has 68K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Real Pool 3D's written reviews are positive against 74% of Desperate Situation Elite's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
