About

NovaR Statistics

Features

NovaR teaches statistics the way it is actually done: you write R, you read the output, and you learn what the number does and does not allow you to say. Every lesson comes with a lab — real R running inside the app, with real data. You type the code, the console output and the plot appear immediately, and the server tells you whether your answer is right. Nothing to install: the R that runs in the lab is R itself, compiled for the browser. THE FIRST COURSE IS FREE Not a sample lesson: the whole first course, including its labs, the final exam and the certificate. If it does not teach you something you can use, you have lost nothing. WHAT THE COURSES COVER R itself — the console, data structures, programming, importing and cleaning data, dplyr and tidyr, ggplot2. Description and probability — descriptive statistics, probability distributions, sampling and the central limit theorem, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing. Classical inference — t-tests, ANOVA, chi-square, nonparametric tests, correlation. Regression — simple and multiple regression, diagnostics, model selection and cross-validation, logistic regression, count models. Advanced models and time — mixed-effects models, time series, forecasting, PCA, clustering. Machine learning and practice — trees and random forests, simulation and bootstrapping, and a capstone project that runs a full analysis end to end and writes a reproducible report. HOW IT WORKS Each lesson explains the method, states its assumptions, and shows how to check them in R before calling the function. Then the lab makes you do it. Each course ends with an exam graded on our server, and passing it issues a certificate with a public verification link and a PDF. HONEST ABOUT THE LIMITS The in-app lab runs base R with dplyr, tidyr and ggplot2. Where a method needs another package — lme4, randomForest, forecast, survival — the lesson shows the code and says so, and the lab builds the same idea in base R so you understand what the package does before you trust it. PRO The first course is free. Pro unlocks the other courses, every lab, all final exams and the certificates. Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID and can be cancelled at any time in your account settings. R is a project of the R Foundation for Statistical Computing.
