Both are free to download. 笔尖日记 sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Memopad sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for 笔尖日记 against 4.9 for Memopad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 笔尖日记 has 119 ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 95% of 笔尖日记's written reviews are positive against 100% of Memopad's.
笔尖日记 ships an update every 3 days, Memopad every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
