Boksamtal vs Kattalo

Boksamtal is an educational and informative application. It is a teaching tool intended to be used in conjunction with reading books and engaging in discussions about them. It is an excellent resource that can be utilized by both teachers and individuals. This application is the result of an entrepreneurial and language development project conducted at Vårby School in Huddinge during the academic year 2016/2017.

Kattalo trains the skills that reading and writing actually demand – letter sounds, phonics, spelling, and word comprehension. Not as flashcards. As exercises learners want to repeat. The app suits learners in special education settings, those with dyslexia or other learning differences, and anyone who needs more time with the fundamentals – regardless of year group. Voice instructions and a stripped-back interface let learners work independently. Exercises span letter recognition, phonological awareness, spelling, and creative writing – from first letters to more advanced text production.
