Verdict
The clearest difference is price: AR Spirits Box at Free against Ecto2's $2.99. AR Spirits Box also leads on ratings volume (2.2K vs 13) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Ecto2's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ads (none vs shown). On device support there is nothing between them.

AR Spirits Box is free to download; Ecto2 costs $2.99 up front. AR Spirits Box sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Ecto2 asks for nothing beyond the download.
AR Spirits Box holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AR Spirits Box has 2.2K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of Ecto2's written reviews are positive against 47% of AR Spirits Box's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
