β€œCut the part where I said basically.” That is how everyone edits: in words, in their head, before any app opens. Cuts makes that first cut real. Your take becomes a page of text. Delete a word and the video loses exactly that. No timeline, no handles, nothing to drag. Whisper transcribes every take on your iPhone the moment it lands. The cuts, the subtitles and the render happen there too. Nothing is uploaded. 01 Β· THE WORDS YOU DIDN'T MEAN Silences, fillers and retakes, cut for you β€” each with three levels: minimum, medium, maximum. Every removed word stays on the page, struck through and colored by the reason it was cut. Nothing is hidden, and one tap brings any word back. 02 Β· THE PAGE IS THE TIMELINE Record inside the app or pull clips from Photos β€” one take or a whole batch. Each file becomes a paragraph of a single, continuous transcript. Select words to remove them, change their speed, zoom into the moment, or lay B-roll over exactly the words it should cover. When you'd rather work by hand, the Timeline lane holds the same edit: trim a piece by its edges, split it, reorder it, pinch to zoom, scrub frame by frame β€” and undo covers all of it. 03 Β· SUBTITLES Burn in subtitles in eleven styles β€” modern, classic, bold, neon, minimal, block, caption, handwritten, editorial, typewriter, tape. Highlight tints only the keywords that carry meaning, picked on device. Captions can be translated at export. Stickers, emoji and lines of text sit on the film too, anchored to the words they belong with β€” moved, sized and trimmed on the film or on a card. 04 Β· PRESETS One tap sets the whole pipeline: TikTok, Reels, Stories, Shorts, YouTube, Podcast or Audio Only β€” tight cuts, vertical 9:16 with auto-reframe, 1080p, burned-in captions. They live in the Library beside your projects, and you can save your own. A starting point; switch off anything you'd rather keep. 05 Β· COLOR & SOUND Film looks and full grading β€” temperature, brightness, exposure, contrast, saturation. A look can cover the whole film or a single clip, and the preview and the exported file agree. Auto-reframe follows the speaker's face for vertical video. Equalize voice and noise reduction clean the audio on the same screen, and a music bed β€” or several β€” can be laid under the voice on the Timeline lane. 06 Β· EXPORT Render on device, in the background. Save to Photos or Files. Source, 4K, 1080p, 720p or 540p β€” the resolution you pick is the resolution you get. H.264, HEVC or ProRes, audio only or GIF, at the frame rate you choose, with an optional .srt sidecar. 07 Β· NOTHING LEAVES YOUR IPHONE Nothing leaves your iPhone. The transcription model and the language model ship inside the app β€” no account, no cloud, no analytics, no tracking. Cuts works on a plane. FREE TO START Try Cuts for free. Pro is a single purchase β€” once, forever. No subscription. Made by Brenno Castro, film director. He got tired of the timeline and went back to the sentence.
