IPTomar Mobile vs AAUBI

IPT Mobile is an initiative of the Instituto Politécnico de Tomar aimed to provide its users - students, faculty and staff - with a tool that will allow them to interact with the institution in a simpler way. At this stage there are ten features available: - search for rooms/buildings on campus; - list of menus available in the canteens and cafeterias on campus and the score of meals served; - course timetables; - list of events taking place at IPT; - search for contacts; - latest news on IPT; - information on the international relations office; - varied information on IPT services; - information on public transports in Tomar and Abrantes; - and useful information on the cities of Tomar and Abrantes (pharmacies, sports facilities, etc.) On a further stage new features will be made available such as IPT Moodle, online registrations, information on IPT sports and cultural activities, etc. Intended to help Erasmus incoming students, the app also offers contents in French and English. This application, which is still in the 'beta' phase, was developed by IPT students under the direction of their lecturers. No personal data are collected beyond the minimum necessary for each specific purpose of the processing.
