Verdict

The call

Chess and Chess Move both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Chess's written reviews are positive against 27% of Chess Move's. Chess also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). Chess Move's advantage is ratings volume (1.1K vs 11) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
