IMPORTANT: That you really can use the app, you have to make an in-app purchase. Without the in-app purchase, you will have only some basic functionality to verify, that the app does really what you expect. A face-up spread of playing cards can be captured via the video-stream from the back camera of the iPhone. The order of the playing cards will be detected and can be displayed. All missing cards can be displayed too. All regular Poker-Playing cards (Bicycle, Phoenix) are detected. Also the new Phoenix Large Index Deck is supported. Important: Jokers are NOT detected! The detection and analysis works very fast (faster than 1 second). The app has a variety of different settings. To unlock the whole functionality, you can purchase the monthly subscription "Full Access". With this subscription you unlock (for the time periode of the subscription) all features of Vision. In addition to that, it also unlocks (for the same time periode) all in-app purchases of the companion app Vision:Tricks. If you do purchase the subscription, please note: • The subscription of "Full Access" is running one month. • Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase • Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period • Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and identify the cost of the renewal • Subscriptions may be managed by the user and auto-renewal may be turned off by going to the user's Account Settings after purchase • Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when the user purchases a subscription to that publication, where applicable. Verdict
The clearest difference is price: Vision at Free against SameCube's $6.99. Vision also leads on review sentiment (83% vs 53%) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 14 months). SameCube's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.
