Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Op 36 Golf at 4.8 against Unknown Golf's 4.1. Op 36 Golf also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 9) and ratings volume (1.7K vs 35). Both are free to download. Unknown Golf sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per year. Op 36 Golf asks for nothing beyond the download.
Op 36 Golf holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Op 36 Golf has 1.7K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 34% of Op 36 Golf's written reviews are positive against 62% of Unknown Golf's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Op 36 Golf ships an update weekly, Unknown Golf every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
