Resistor color code calculator helps determine the resistance value indicated by the colored band. You can use it for 3, 4, 5 and 6 band resistors. You can click the band in the color table to select a color for that band. The resistor visually shows your band color selection and displays the corresponding resistance value. It will help you configure your electronics. How to use the resistance color code calculator - Please select the number of band colors first. - Select the color of the band by clicking on the corresponding box in the color chart. - The corresponding resistance value and the tolerance of the resistance are displayed.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Resistor Calc+ at none against Electronics Kit's 5. Resistor Calc+ also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Electronics Kit's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (91% vs 67%). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Resistor Calc+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Electronics Kit has 65 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of Electronics Kit's written reviews are positive against 67% of Resistor Calc+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Electronics Kit ships an update every 6 weeks, Resistor Calc+ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 10, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
