Walk More is a simple and powerful pedometer. It helps you keeping track of: • Every step you take • The distance you walk • How many stairs you climb* You can set a daily goal, see your progress inside the Notification Center widget and review your statistics and top results with the help of simple graphs. There's no healthier habit than taking long walks, and there is no better way to be more active than to keep track of your progress with Walk More! Walk More will request access to your Motion and Fitness data in order to provide its core functionality (number your steps, distance walked, floors climbed); denying access to Motion and Fitness will cause the app to provide very little functionality. Walk More currently does not have an Apple Watch app and does not merge steps taken when wearing only Apple Watch to its step count. * Floors detection is available only on iPhone 6 and newer devices. Any questions? I'd love to hear from you! Please contact me at support@cdf1982.com or visit the website, www.cdf1982.com/walk-more.

Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is update cadence: Pedometer at every 3 days against Walk More's every 9 months. Walk More's advantage is rating (4.9 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (58 vs 8). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

CostPrice · In-app purchases · Ads · Monetization

Both are free to download. Walk More sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and Pedometer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Walk More holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Walk More has 58 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Walk More's written reviews are positive against 57% of Pedometer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Walk More ships an update every 9 months, Pedometer every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
