Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: GTU MCQ at none against TestMaker's 6. GTU MCQ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). TestMaker's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (407 vs 3). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. TestMaker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. GTU MCQ asks for nothing beyond the download.
GTU MCQ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TestMaker has 407 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 61% of TestMaker's written reviews are positive against 41% of GTU MCQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
TestMaker ships an update every 3 days, GTU MCQ every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
