Train the way you play. Tennis Timer is a hands-free workout timer for tennis players. Leave the phone on the bench or by the net post and let it call the workout out loud: a whistle to start work, a different tone for rest, and the last five seconds counted down so you can finish the ball you're on. Your eyes stay on the ball, never on a screen. FOUR MODES, FOUR THINGS TO WORK ON INTERVAL — endurance and recovery Work and rest, round after round, set after set. Hit hard for thirty seconds, take the rest, go again. The timed rest matters as much as the work: it teaches you to actually use the twenty seconds between points instead of rushing, and it is what keeps your legs under you in a long third set. TIMER — consistency One simple countdown, running straight through. Set eight minutes and keep the rally alive, or feed a whole basket of serves without stopping to check the clock. Nothing to think about but the next ball, which is exactly how consistency gets built. RANDOM — agility and fast response A beep at moments you cannot predict, anywhere between the shortest and longest gap you choose. You never know when the next one is coming, so you stay on your toes and move before you have had time to think, the same way your opponent's shot asks you to. METRO — rhythm and pace A steady beat you can move to. Groove your split-step so it lands on time, hold an even pace through a footwork ladder, or keep shadow swings smooth instead of rushed. A DRILL LIBRARY, READY TO GO Eight tennis drills come built in: a rally simulation, a hard-and-short conditioning set, short all-out bursts with long rest, core holds, a continuous circuit, a cool-down stretch, a reaction drill and a split-step pacing drill. Tap one and everything is set up for you. Make your own, too. Give it a name, choose the work, rest, rounds and sets, and save it to your own tab, right beside the built-in ones. Swipe to edit or delete any drill. MADE TO BE HEARD, NOT WATCHED A referee whistle opens every work block. Different tones mark rest and set breaks, so you always know which one you are in without looking. The last five seconds tick down out loud. Set the volume so the cues carry across the court. They play over your own music without turning it down, and they keep going with the screen locked or another app in front, so the phone can sit on the bench for the whole session. YOUR TRAINING, LOOKED BACK ON Every workout you finish is saved. See your week at a glance, switch the chart between week, month and year, and tap any bar to see what you did that day. Open a session for the full breakdown, rename it, or clear everything whenever you want. BUILT TO BE SIMPLE Numbers big enough to read from across the court. Buttons big enough to hit while you are out of breath. Pick the accent color you like. No account, no sign-up, no ads, nothing to set up. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Tennis Timer collects nothing at all. There is no account and no internet connection. Your workouts, drills and settings stay on your iPhone, and they are gone for good the moment you delete the app. iPhone only. Requires iOS 17 or later.
