Or Not?” app helps children with autism understand and practice what to do… and what not to do… in real-life social situations. Filtering thoughts and actions can be a challenge for children with autism or ADHD. This app helps children find appropriate actions for over one hundred challenging social situations. Kids also learn to think about how their actions make other people feel. The “Do It… Or Not?” app gives your child the social filtering skills they need to better manage social situations at home, school and in the community. What parents say about our awesome apps: *** 5 stars! Brilliant! An app that understands how kids actually learn. Thank you. *** 5 stars! Your social skill apps are excellent! “Do It… Or Not?” provides: - More than 100 situations frequently faced in a student’s everyday life, from annoying siblings to forgotten homework to unwanted birthday gifts. - Each situation can play out in four different ways. Students practice identifying how specific responses would make their friend feel and whether it is okay to do. For each situation where they might want to do something negative, students identify what is okay to do in that situation. - Students progress to the next level only when mastery of the current skill is demonstrated. - 'At a glance' reporting shows you instantly how your learner is progressing. - The fun Reward Center motivates even hesitant learners. Most exciting, this app offers independent AND therapist mode. In independent mode, answers are displayed and the learner taps the correct answer. In therapist mode, no answers are displayed. For each question, the student answers orally and the therapist taps whether the learner's oral answer was correct or incorrect. Both modes earn coins for the Reward Center. The Soundsory App is a part of the Soundsory program which is a multi-sensory therapy program that uses music and body movement exercises to improve motor skills (gross, fine and visual), balance, coordination, emotional regulation and posture. The program includes the Soundsory headset that contains a 40- day music program complementary with the body movement exercises. Each day of rhythmic music listening and body movement exercises lasts for 30 mins. It is a program that is suitable for children over the age of 3+ and for older adults as well. Soundsory is used extensively around the world by Occupational Therapists and Special Education Needs (SEN) teachers for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing issues, developmental delays, motor coordination challenges, and emotional regulation difficulties. It is used at home to complement therapy sessions by families as well. We recommend you purchase the Soundsory headset to get the best experience of the program: https://shop.soundforlife.com/product/soundsory-program/ How does Soundsory’s music program stimulate the brain? Soundsory taps into the universal power of music with a playlist of enhanced rhythmic songs. A patented dynamic filter makes the higher-pitched sounds crisper while softening lower pitches. Combined with tempo changes from song to song, Soundsory stimulates our hearing and balance systems. This challenges the brain and helps form neural connections. Soudnsory’s body movement exercises - The Soundsory app offers a broad range of exercises that is specially catered to your physical profile. Each day has a set of exercises that are ideal for the level that will be assigned to you after you complete our questionnaire. Put on your Soundsory headset, start the music program and practice these exercises for 30 minutes a day for an initial 40 day period. You can take a period of rest and then continue with the program for another 40 days. Our resident therapists Kara Tavolacci and Grace Lindley have curated and designed our body movement exercises to improve posture, balance, and coordination. The program can be adapted to suit each person and targets: Voluntary body movement. Timing & rhythm control. Balance & spatial judgment. How to get started with the Soundsory app: Download the app, sign up and login to your account. Complete our questionnaire and determine your therapy level and goals. Start your 40 day Soundsory therapy journey. Follow the daily exercises to achieve your goal. Once you are comfortable with the exercises in your currently assigned level, you can try the exercises at a higher level. Soundsory’s features make it simple to stay on track and keep on top of your progress. Features include: Exercise descriptions and video demonstrations. Exercise variations according to your set level to make movements harder or easier. Track your progress. Ability to favorite your preferred exercises.
