Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: OK Video at 4.8 against Flashback's 4.0. OK Video also leads on ratings volume (99 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). Flashback's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. OK Video sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Flashback asks for nothing beyond the download.

OK Video holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OK Video has 99 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 95% of OK Video's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flashback's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

OK Video ships an update every 3 weeks, Flashback every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
