Verdict
The clearest difference is update cadence: YOUKAMI at every 2 weeks against Do It Note's every 2 months. YOUKAMI also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (77 vs 2). Do It Note's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 92%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. YOUKAMI sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Do It Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
YOUKAMI holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: YOUKAMI has 77 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 92% of YOUKAMI's written reviews are positive against 100% of Do It Note's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
YOUKAMI ships an update every 2 weeks, Do It Note every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
