Shpy is a party word game for one phone and a room full of people. Everyone sees the same secret word — everyone except the Shpy. Pass the phone around. Each player looks at their card in private: most of you see the word, one of you sees nothing but the word SHPY. Then the timer starts and you talk. Say something about the word, but not too much, or the Shpy will work out what it is. Ask questions. Watch who hesitates. When time runs out the table decides. Citizens win by naming the Shpy. The Shpy wins by guessing the word — or by never being caught at all. HOW IT PLAYS • 3 to 12 players, one phone, nothing to set up • Rounds from a few seconds to fifteen minutes — you choose • More than one Shpy if you want them, with an optional Shpy list so accomplices know each other • No cards to print, no rules to read aloud: the phone deals and keeps time THE WORDS • Six word packs: All, Cities, Nature, Objects, Funny, Food • Combine them — play Cities and Food together, or any mix you like • Hundreds of words in every pack, written for the way people actually talk • Add your own words, and they turn up in every pack you play THE DECKS • Six card decks to swipe through, from oil painting to halftone comic • Two more you earn rather than buy: seven days in a row unlocks the Lone Wolf deck • After fifty rounds the game hands you the camera, and you can build a deck of your own from two photographs • One more deck is hidden further in.
