Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Ceiling Fan Balancer at 80% against Scrypted's 33%. Ceiling Fan Balancer also leads on chart position (#89 vs unranked) and ratings volume (121 vs 16). Scrypted's advantage is price (Free vs $2.99) and rating (5.0 vs 4.2). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Scrypted is free to download; Ceiling Fan Balancer costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Scrypted holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ceiling Fan Balancer has 121 ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Ceiling Fan Balancer's written reviews are positive against 33% of Scrypted's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Ceiling Fan Balancer ships an update every 8 months, Scrypted every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
