Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: LapMonitor at none against RotorPulse's 4. LapMonitor also leads on ratings volume (14 vs 2) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). RotorPulse's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs every 9 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RotorPulse sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. LapMonitor asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for LapMonitor against 5.0 for RotorPulse. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LapMonitor has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
LapMonitor ships an update every 9 months, RotorPulse every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
