Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Study Less at 5.0 against Prometheus's 4.3. Study Less also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 16 months) and monetization model (free vs freemium). Prometheus's advantage is review sentiment (67% vs 50%) and ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Study Less holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prometheus has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Prometheus's written reviews are positive against 50% of Study Less's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Prometheus ships an update every 16 months, Study Less every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
