Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: subflow at 4.3 against Specties's 3.8. subflow also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 6 days vs monthly). Specties's advantage is review sentiment (83% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Specties sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. subflow asks for nothing beyond the download.
subflow holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 8 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Specties's written reviews are positive against 67% of subflow's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Specties ships an update monthly, subflow every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
