Go back in time and experience the exciting virtual trip with full access to digitally reconstructed ancient streets and buildings, easy navigation and detailed information in Bul-garian and English; More about the Complex: •The Ancient Serdica Archaeological Complex – the largest open air museum in the Balkans – was opened in 2016 in central Sofia to offer visitors a glimpse into the Bulgarian capital city’s Ancient Roman past. •The complex, largely below street level and covering an area of about 9000 square me-ters, includes streets, baths, houses, an early Christian basilica and a late Mediaeval church. •One of the biggest attractions within the complex is the Decumanus Maximus, which in Roman times used to be the main street of the city that would later become Sofia.
