Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is rating: iZoomViewer at 5.0 against Pro Camera's 4.4. iZoomViewer also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 6) and ads (none vs shown). Pro Camera's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). On price and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Pro Camera sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per year. iZoomViewer asks for nothing beyond the download.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

iZoomViewer holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pro Camera has 4.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Pro Camera's written reviews are positive against 50% of iZoomViewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Pro Camera ships an update every 2 weeks, iZoomViewer monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
