SCALE produces structural engineers' calculations and component details for the design of a variety of components such as beams, columns and slabs, using steel, concrete, masonry and timber. SCALE outputs pdf and docx files, consisting of a set of pages, neatly titled, dated and numbered, containing calculations and component details made to a standard suitable for submission to a checking authority. β€œI use SCALE because it produces neatly composed calculation sheets which can easily be checked.” SCALE incorporates a library of over 600 proforma calculations, which are accessed via in-app subscription. The content of this library is continually under review, proformas being added or modified as codes of practice develop and change. All proformas include a parallel set of calculations for Eurocodes and British Standards. β€œI would like to express my thanks for the many years of use of your excellent design software which has made my life so much easier.” SCALE includes LUCID and SPADE, 'expert systems’ which know about reinforced concrete, steelwork, timber and masonry detailing, and build the detail using the knowledge contained within their databases. β€œI am self employed and use SCALE everyday for design. I have also used your LUCID automatic reinforcement detailing / bar schedule for ground beams and use the automatic steel connection detailing program. I have never had any queries on either of these from site.” SCALE includes NL-STRESS for 2D/3D elastic analysis with linking between analysis and design, non-linear (plastic and stability) analysis, and numerous pre and post-processors for vehicle loads, guyed masts etc. SCALE users produce over one million pages of structural calculations per year; SCALE has condensed print and summary options for saving paper. About

Numline

Features

Numline is a calculator you type into like a notepad. Write your maths in plain words on the left, and answers appear instantly on the right. No buttons to hunt for. No equals key. Just type a line β€” "120 USD to EUR", "20% of 4800", "rent = 2400" β€” and Numline works it out as you go. WHAT YOU CAN DO β€’ Plain-language maths β€” write "95 EUR * 4" and read the answer beside it β€’ Currencies β€” convert between world currencies: "cost in JPY to USD". Rates update automatically; offline, the last ones stand in and results are approximate β€’ Units β€” length, mass, volume, temperature and more: "120 km to miles", "356 F to C" β€’ Percentages β€” tips, discounts and splits in words: "89 + 15%", "240 / 4 + 10%" β€’ Variables β€” name a value once and reuse it: "rate = 85", "32 * rate" β€’ Totals β€” "total" sums the block above; a blank line starts a fresh one β€’ Dates β€” "trip - today", "trip + 2 weeks" and other quick date maths β€’ Functions β€” sqrt, round, abs and friends when you need them β€’ Shorthand β€” "19k + 80k" reads thousands the way you say them β€’ Themes β€” Classic, Lime, Violet and Amber, each colouring your notation its own way β€’ Many notepads β€” keep a separate sheet for every plan Every line is live. Change a number and everything below it updates. It reads back like a note you wrote to yourself, so you can always see how you reached an answer. Numline stays quiet and focused: a dark editor, syntax colours you choose, and nothing in your way. No account. No subscription. No ads. Your notepads stay on your device. Just type.
