Verdict
Funkgerät and Apfeltalk both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Funkgerät's written reviews are positive against 56% of Apfeltalk's. Funkgerät also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
