Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Kettlebell Protocol at free against BCAA's free with in-app purchases. Kettlebell Protocol also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 88%). BCAA's advantage is ratings volume (6 vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BCAA sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Kettlebell Protocol sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for BCAA against 5.0 for Kettlebell Protocol. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BCAA has 6 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 88% of BCAA's written reviews are positive against 100% of Kettlebell Protocol's.
BCAA ships an update every 3 weeks, Kettlebell Protocol fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
