BinHexDec is a smart and effective programmer's calculator. It features conversion between Binary, Octal, Decimal and Hexadecimal, standard bitwise operations AND, OR and XOR, and immediate operations including bitwise shifts, rotates, increment and decrement, and also includes one's and two's complement operations. BinHexDec features a smart entry system, allowing you to change number base and bit size, and conduct immediate operations whilst entering operands. The calculator responds smartly and intuitively. The delete key is also smart - removing the last character from the current operand, not just the last character entered. On the iPad a scrolling history displays your previous calculations. All results are automatically sent to the clipboard enabling you to paste them straight into other applications. In addition you can send any operand you're entering to the clipboard by just tapping the main display. The developer welcomes your comments and suggestions to improve this application. This is a calculator app using Reversed Polish Notation (RPN) In Portrait mode, this app provides a basic calculator with the four arithmetic disciplines +, -, x, and /. In Landscape mode, 30 extra buttons are available providing most functions found on a scientific calculator. You can do trigonometry, logarithms, roots, probability, and more. RPN is neat because you can do fancy calculations without having to worry about parenthesis. Putting the operator after the operands allow the operator to infer which are its operands without the clarification offered by paranthesis. The built-in help function (?) provides a short description of each function. The settings page allows you to set the number format, number of decimals displayed, decimal separator and more.

Verdict
The clearest difference is in-app purchases: RPN at none against BinHexDec's 1. RPN also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 115 months). On price and device support there is nothing between them.
