"Eye On You" is a simple and reliable app that helps you stay informed about your loved ones’ daily activity - no matter where they are. Just install the app on your family member’s iPhone, and it will automatically collect activity data and upload it securely to a designated Google drive or iCloud drive. There’s nothing complicated to learn. The person being monitored doesn’t need to operate the app at all, and the person monitoring doesn’t need to install any additional apps or sign up for any services. All you need is a single Google account or Apple account. That’s it - no extra infrastructure, no accounts, no hassle. Even better, this is a one-time purchase. There are no subscriptions or ongoing fees - ever. Key Features ● Subtle, everyday activity monitoring The app gently keeps track of daily activity using the following data from the iPhone: * Battery level and charging status * Step count (daily movement) You can choose which data to monitor, giving you full control over how the app is used. By default, data is uploaded once per day. In addition, if the battery level drops below a set threshold (5% by default), the app will immediately upload data - helping you notice potential issues quickly. ● Simple and flexible with Google Drive integration For Google drive users, you will need to sign in a Google account after installation. The app automatically creates a dedicated file (filename "EOYFile") on Google drive and continuously updates it with activity logs. By utilizing Google drive sharing feature, your family members can also check the activity data. * No external service registration * No additional apps needed This lightweight design makes it easy to set up and maintain. For advanced users, you can integrate with Google Apps Script (GAS) to automatically send email notifications when new data is uploaded. A sample script and setup instructions are available on the support site. https://noriho.hatenablog.com/entry/eyeonyou-GAS ● iCloud Drive integration For iCloud drive users, you can upload to iCloud drive if you sign in to Apple account on iOS. The app automatically creates a dedicated file (file name "EOYFile.txt") on iCloud drive and continuously updates it with activity logs. By utilizing iCloud drive sharing feature, your family members can also check the activity data. Please note that if you are using iCloud drive, you cannot move folders or rename this file. ● Fully automatic, no daily interaction needed Data is uploaded automatically once per day (timing is managed by iOS and cannot be manually set). After installation and configuration, no further action is required from the person being monitored. Note: The app must remain running in the background to function properly. If it is force-closed, data collection will stop. ● Privacy-first, secure design Your data is handled with care using Google’s official APIs for secure and reliable communication. * Secure authentication via Google * No need to log in repeatedly * The app can only access the file it creates It cannot browse, read, or access any other files in your Google Drive. The app will erase the data inside the app itself after uploading the data to Google Drive. This strict limitation is intentional - to protect your privacy and ensure peace of mind. ● Customizable and easy to use Designed for comfort and usability, the app offers flexible display settings: * Light mode / Dark mode / System default * Language switching * Automatic layout adjustment for portrait and landscape Stay connected, even from a distance. "Eye On You" brings you peace of mind - quietly, simply, and reliably.
