The app and keyboard’s main purpose to make editing geographical coordinates easierβ€”quite niche use case. For myself, I use it primary for geocaching. But I think it can be useful for others and other purposes as well. The keyboard extension accompanying app show the full intended functionality. In the standalone keyboard extension itself, however, it is technically not possible to use the map at this time. The functionality is obvious I think. Coordinates can be edited either in keyboard own interactive display or map and then inserted in the document, or they can be edited simultaneously both in the document and keyboard display. Right now, only one coordinates format and basic Apple maps are supportedβ€”for the initial release I focused to the core functionality and usability. In future, I plan supporting alternate maps (this also may enable maps in custom keyboard) and additional coordinate formats. Privacy Policy Note: To use the keyboard it is useful enabling its access to Location services (GPS). The keyboard uses location information to show your local coordinates, your location on the map and to calculate your distance from the edited coordinates. Your location is in no way stored, shared or sent over the Internet.

About

LocationBook

Features

Every place worth remembering, kept in one book. LocationBook turns any spot on the map into something you can save, find again, and hand to someone else. Drop a pin at a trailhead, a friend's flat, a parking space, a viewpoint β€” and keep its exact coordinates, its address, and a way to share it. SAVE ANY PLACE Double-tap the map, tap a point of interest, or search by name. Every saved place keeps its exact latitude and longitude alongside a readable address you can copy with one tap. SHARE THE WAY Generate a QR code that opens the spot in Maps on any phone β€” no app required at the other end. Or send a route link through chat, mail, or notes. KNOW WHEN YOU ARRIVE Mark a region around any saved place and get a notification when you enter or leave it. Set the radius, choose whether it fires on arrival or departure, and add a note to remind yourself why. SAVE A FRIEND'S PLACE Link a contact to any location, and pull their address straight in from your address book. Find their place again by their name. YOUR PLACES, ORGANISED Saved locations live in an alphabetical list with an A-Z index down the side β€” the same way your contacts work. Search by name, by address, or by coordinates. BUILT FOR THE MAP Choose standard, hybrid, or satellite. Switch between kilometres and miles. A cartographic palette designed for both light and dark mode, so it reads at noon and at midnight. PREMIUM - Unlimited saved places - Customisable QR codes: colours, error correction, your app logo - Share QR images and route links - Unlimited region alerts - No ads Premium available monthly or as a one-time lifetime purchase.
