Current Week vs Paws Almanac

Current week is a simple and easy-to-use app that shows the week number for the current week. You can also find out the current week number from a specific date. The app includes a home screen and lock screen widget that displays the week number. There is also an Apple Watch app available with a complication so you can see the current week number right from the watch face. The app uses the current date on the device to get the current week number so it should work in all timezones.

Paws Almanac is an app for iPhone and Apple Watch showing calendar related information, for instance name days, holidays, flag days and moon phases. Just like an almanac. The iPhone app content is arranged into five tabs: Day, List, Calendar, World, and Settings. Day • Calendar information, e.g. name day, flag day, moon phase and week number, for the selected day. Default is current date. • Sunrise, sunset and sun hours for your current location [Plus] • Birthday of contacts [Plus] • Events from calendar [Plus] List • List of dates in current, or selected, year in a list, with basic calendar information such as name day and calendar observances. • Birthday of contacts [Plus] • Events from calendar [Plus] Calendar • Almanac of current, or selected, year in a month/week calendar layout. • Official flag days • Moon phases World • Additional, selected almanacs [Plus] Settings • Select main country/region for almanac to show in Day View, List View, in the widget and on Apple Watch in the app and complication. • Additional almanacs for World View can be selected. • Option to show sunrise and sunset information. • Option to show your contacts' birthday in Day and List views. • Option to show your calendar events in Day and List views. • Option to force use of ISO calendar [Plus] Widgets [Plus] Widgets make it possible to show information right on your home screen. The almanac widget displays information about date and week number, as well as public holidays, flag and name days. Information about birthdays, sunrise and sunset is also shown on this widget, if the feature is turned on in the app settings. Another widget type displays a monthly calendar. A third widget type contains information about moonrise/moonset as well as dates for future moon phases. Lock Screen Widgets [Plus] With lock screen widgets, on iOS 16, chosen calendar information is visible on the screen even without unlocking your phone. There are a few variants to choose from: calendar information, date and/or week number, a three-week mini-calendar, as well as various info widgets for sun and moon. Apple Watch [Plus] In the Apple Watch app, name days and other information are presented. Complications come with different sets of information: 'Calendar' (standard), 'Week', 'Date and Week', 'Sunrise and Sunset', 'Moon Phase', and 'Moonrise and Moonset'. Availability depends on the chosen watch face and complication type. Additional pages show the monthly calendar, sunrise/sunset, as well as moonrise/moonset/moon phases. As of watchOS 10 a couple of widgets are also selectable on Apple Watch. Supported Almanacs Paws Almanac supports name days (where available), holidays and observances for Argentina, Australia (*), Austria (*), Belgium, Brazil, Canada (*), Chile, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark (*), Estonia, Finland (*), France (*), Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy (*), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Spain (*), Sweden, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom (*), and United States (*). Some countries (marked with * above) regional and state holidays can also be presented by selecting a sub-region of the country as the almanac in Settings.
