Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: StudiwerkMainz at 5.0 against SCHUBERT's 2.9. StudiwerkMainz also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 13 months). SCHUBERT's advantage is review sentiment (31% vs 0%) and ratings volume (13 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
StudiwerkMainz holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SCHUBERT has 13 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of SCHUBERT's written reviews are positive against 0% of StudiwerkMainz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SCHUBERT ships an update every 13 months, StudiwerkMainz fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
