Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Rad Trails! at 4.6 against Jumpy Canyon's 3.2. Rad Trails! also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 41 months) and ratings volume (575 vs 6). Jumpy Canyon's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Rad Trails! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Jumpy Canyon asks for nothing beyond the download.
Rad Trails! holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Rad Trails! has 575 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Jumpy Canyon's written reviews are positive against 34% of Rad Trails!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Jumpy Canyon ships an update every 41 months, Rad Trails! every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
