Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: AARAV at 4.0 against WVSS's 2.0. AARAV also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). WVSS's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (3 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
AARAV holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of AARAV's written reviews are positive against 46% of WVSS's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
AARAV ships an update every 11 months, WVSS every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
