SACS is a non-emergency medical transport (NEMT) solution dedicated to the optimized medical transport of patients to medical centers. SACS has been a leading application since 1996 known in all hospitals, medical centers, and medical transportation companies in Miami Dade and Broward as well as in Orlando, Tampa, Washington DC, and Wisconsin. Among the technical features and functionalities, the main matter is patient safety, so the application allows for verifying the vehicle inspection and odometer readings. Drivers get the routes electronically every day on their iPhones, those routes are planned and optimized in the office with the SACS Web application. Once a patient is on board, this status is sent to the Dispatcher's office, just like when any patient arrives at the destination points. Drivers have real-time assistance from Google Maps to verify not only the shortest route but also the most suitable one. SACS, therefore, ensures that each patient arrives on time for their medical appointments. SACS works with patient groups to efficiently manage vehicle occupancy. SACS keeps the driver in touch with patients and dispatcher offices through messages and phone calls. Dispatchers have visibility at all times with the activity of each driver. Another benefit is allowing the driver to define the pick-up time for each patient, and also to make trip cancellations. Our state-of-the-art technology allows working without an active Internet connection. Our SACS algorithms optimize routes by calculating the minimum overall distance traveled considering access to highways, arterial roads, streets, traffic congestions, traffic flow, and shortest and fastest segments. We are using Google Maps technologies that guarantee the quality of our transportation. Reroute options allow drivers to modify their routes online. This SACS app for iPhone is the necessary mobile complement for the web app that we developed over 25 years ago here in the US and is copyrighted. The name of our application is SACS (Scheduling and Control System). Drivers and Patients never hire the use of our iPhone application, only our clients who are medical centers and hospitals. It is not possible to register as a user of the application directly, since the user must be accepted by the administrator of our web application. With our application, we want to offer a better medical transportation service to Medicare and Medicaid patients in our clients' medical centers and hospitals.
