Keep a note close at hand. Write and format text, choose fonts and alignment, and share your note as text or an image. Import a photo to read its text and QR codes on the device, while retaining the original photo with the note. On supported iOS versions, Apple’s on-device translation can add a translation above your text. Notes are stored on your device, with private iCloud syncing when available and configured. Apple Watch supports reading a note and appending typed or dictated text. Saved notes and earlier local files remain accessible, and save errors stay visible so you can retry without losing your draft. You can choose to display linked images. Loading an image contacts its website, and an enabled preview can load again when you reopen the note.
